Valorant hits high notes at KCX3: Karmine Corp vs The World
KCX3: Karmine Corp vs The World is a showmatch organized by the popular Kamet0-owned French organization in Rocket League, Valorant, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros. The third edition was held at the Paris La Défense Arena in Paris on September 16, with T1, Team Heretics, G2 Esports, and LOUD Female joining the hosts' male and female rosters across the competitions.

The Valorant matches ended up being the most successful, although their numbers still lagged behind the most successful event in the series so far. What was also interesting was that the female's Valorant match overshadowed the men's, with the two teams being 47.5% more popular than their male counterparts in terms of Average Viewers. This was mainly due the the high interest levels from the FPS-games-loving community in Brazil and coverage by some prominent names in the country’s esports streaming scene.
The Valorant section of the KCX3: Karmine Corp vs The World recorded 418K Hours Watched and 116K Average Viewers over four hours of airtime. It was the series between LOUD Female and Karmine Corp GC that hit 167K Peak Viewers, with the former easily winning 13:6. A large part of its popularity comes from the Portuguese-speaking audience, especially from LOUD's home nation of Brazil, helping it notch this number.

It also helps that LOUD is one of the most followed LATAM sides in the world, with its Valorant men's side roster the joint most popular side of all time based on peak concurrent viewership. This also meant that three of the top five most watched and popular channels — coreano, gabepeixe, tixinhadois — were Portuguese.
The next most successful segment was Rocket League, which registered 223K HW, 150K PV, and 141K AV over two hours of airtime as G2 Esports and Karmine Corp slugged it out in a best-of-seven match that the former won 4:3. The discipline has slowly been making inroads into the French market, as seen at the RLCS 2022-23 World Championship, and these numbers helped it become one of the most popular tournaments in the esport in 2023.

The Super Smash Bros competition notched 205K HW, 149K PV, and 137K AV over an airtime of two hours. The match between Karmine Corp's Glutonny and Solary's Kurama was the most popular among the three held, helping it become the sixth most popular event in the discipline's history.
In fact, all three matches put up good enough PV numbers to come in sixth on this all-time leaderboard. The other two games saw Kurama face NaetorU and then Raflow, although it was the two players many consider the best in the world whose clash was the most followed.
Last comes the League of Legends competition which did 163K HW and 140K AV over an hour of airtime. The match between Karmine Corp and Spain's Team Heretics maxed out at 155K PV in a clash of continental heavyweights.
Unsurprisingly, Kamet0 was the most watched and popular streamer at these events, also serving as one of the commentators. His contributions to his team's popularity and the disciplines he covers cannot be stressed enough, with the influencer's broadcasts of Karmice Corp's matches regularly bringing in millions of viewers and helping drive up the viewership stats of these competitions.

Looking at the entire KCX series, the most successful event remains the inaugural one from January 2022 which gained 934K HW, 345K PV, and 273K AV over three hours of airtime. It was a LoL-only affair that pitted Karmine Corp against KOI, owned by the irrepressible Ibai, with the two-star content creators' presence contributing majorly to these high stats.
Although the numbers have seen a slight decrease over the three iterations, these events have helped establish KCX as a valuable player in the non-esports schedule of the calendar, lending a star-studded feel to these showmatches, a concept that has slowly gained traction over the years and become an attraction in itself today.
Such has been the success of the KCS series that Karmine Corp revealed at the event that the Arènes de l’Agora Stadium will be built as an esports stadium that aims to open its doors to fans in the summer of 2024. It also revealed that the facility would contain 3,000 seats and host various events, including watch parties and official tournament matches. A ‘subscription-based system’ was also mentioned, although details about the model were not disclosed.
Moreover, Kamet0 revealed that his organization is 'close to securing a spot in the LEC,' with reports confirming that its entry into the league will take place sometime in October. Fans can keep up with Esports Charts' LoL page for more details and updates on the same.
