The last months of 2021 were full of major esports tournaments. At the end of the fall, there were grand events in League of Legends, CS:GO and Dota 2, and early December was marked with the final event of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang the esports season. Esports Charts tells you which teams fans followed the most.
The ranking is based on the total Hours Watched of esports matches. We didn't take into account the statistics of Chinese streaming services and the Battle Royale genre disciplines.
The leader in the third quarter of the year was G2 Esports. The esports organization accumulated 28.8 million Hours Watched. But in the fourth quarter this result wouldn't help the club to get even in the top 10.

By the end of October-December the most viewed esports organization was Indonesian ONIC Esports — it amassed 45.8 million Hours Watched (almost 60% more than the most popular organization of the last quarter). The Philippine and Indonesian squads, featured in the M3 World Championship, were the major contributors to the total: the Philippine team even made it to the Grand Final, but was defeated 0-4 there by Blacklist International.
DAMWON KIA ranks second with 44.1 million Hours Watched (only 4% less than ONIC). Korea's best LoL team over the past few years made it to the Worlds 2021 Grand Finals, but didn't manage to defend the world title in the match against EDward Gaming. Rainbow Six Siege also helped the organization to take second place: in November, the team got to the semifinals of the Six Sweden Major 2021.
Two CIS organizations — Team Spirit and Natus Vincere (41.6 million Hours Watched and 41.5 million Hours Watched, respectively) — are in 3-4 places with a difference of just 95.8K Hours Watched. Both showed incredible results in the Valve games. Team Spirit won The International 10, and NAVI had a great second half of the year in CS:GO, where they also won the first PGL Major Stockholm in two years. It should be noted that NAVI participated in the M3 World Championship as well, which also had an impact on the final results.
The top 5 is rounded out by another organization that is represented in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang — Rex Regum Qeon. It got 40.1 million Hours Watched. In October, the organization took second place at MPL Indonesia Season 8, and in December it placed 5-6th in the M3 World Championship: the team lost in the playoffs to future winner Blacklist International with the score of 0:3.

The Worlds 2021 finalist DWG KIA was expectedly to become the top 1 esports team — it accumulated 42.4 million Hours Watched (more than 96% of the organization's total for the fourth quarter). The Korean team outpaced tournament winner EDward Gaming with a higher Average Viewers number of over 2,1 million spectators, which is the highest total among the ten most viewed teams in a given period.
Rex Regum Qeon Hoshim, the ML:BB team, is in second place with 39.1 million Hours Watched. RRQ is the most popular team in Indonesia, and the Average Viewers number of it is over 1,1 million spectators, which makes it the highest result in the discipline. All others attracted under a million spectators.
Team Spirit, the winners of TI10, rounds out the top 3 with 37.9 million Hours Watched. It should be noted that the team took an extremely high place, although its Average Viewers number is the lowest among the teams included in the top 10 (only 572K Average Viewers followed their games).
EDG, the winners of the Worlds 2021, ranks fourth with 37.7 million Hours Watched. The Chinese team is behind DWG because of a fewer Average Viewers number (300K fewer than DWG).
The top five is rounded out by NAVI's CS:GO squad with 33.4 million Hours Watched. The team achieved this largely due to their victory in the PGL Stockholm Major 2021, which had a record audience in the discipline.
