2025 F1 Sim Racing World Championship has become the most popular tournament in the series' history
The 2025 F1 Sim Racing World Championship recently wrapped up, marking a major esports event for the F1 2024 racing simulator. Virtual drivers from top professional teams competed for a prize pool of $750,000, with representatives from McLaren, Mercedes-AMG, Red Bull, KICK F1, and other prominent racing brands. The final race drew the attention of thousands of fans and set a new series record for the most viewers on livestreams.

The championship featured ten teams, with three drivers each, competing on various tracks. Drivers earned ranking points for their teams based on their finishes in each race. In the end, Jarno Opmeer claimed the individual championship, while his team, Red Bull Sim Racing, took home the Constructors' Cup. The top three in the individual standings also included Ismael Fahssi from Williams Esports and Bari Broumand from Ferrari Esports.
The 2025 F1 Sim Racing World Championship races took place in multiple stages from January 1 to March 27. Overall, the tournament's streams amassed over 809,500 Hours Watched. The peak viewership hit 78,985 concurrent viewers during the final race, setting a new record for the highest audience in the history of the racing series.

However, the most popular event in the history of the F1 racing simulator remains the F1 Esports Virtual Grand Prix Series Vietnam, which drew 476,236 concurrent viewers at peak in 2020.
