The cancellation of regional leagues in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) and the rise of new million-dollar tournaments have significantly impacted the competitive ecosystem of Dota 2. Esports Charts analyzed the situation to understand changes in prize pools, audience reach, and trends among major broadcasting studios.

The professional Dota 2 scene is multifaceted, with its ecosystem varying greatly by region. To understand the direction the discipline is heading, we focused on the top international tournaments featuring the strongest teams in the world. We compared overall statistics for these tournaments from January to May in both 2023 and 2024.
