English accounted for 1% of watch time during EMEA Masters Summer 2024 Last Chance Qualifier

League of Legends fans are currently closely following the EMEA Masters Summer 2024, the premier international tournament for teams from various European national leagues. With the Swiss Stage nearing its conclusion and the final playoff teams being determined, Esports Charts is analyzing the viewership statistics of the Last Chance Qualifier, a newly introduced stage in the event.

The New EMEA Masters Format

In June 2024, Riot Games announced an expansion of the EMEA Masters from 28 to 60 teams. This change effectively doubled the representation from many national leagues, including LFLSuperligaPrime League, and TCL. The top teams from these leagues received direct invitations to the Swiss Stage, while the less successful teams had to compete in the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ).
