The ESL Pro League Season 16 Group Stage ended last weekend, with the top 12 teams qualifying for the playoffs. Team Vitality, G2 Esports, MOUZ and Cloud9 showed best results in their groups and became the first quarterfinalists of ESL Pro League Season 16. Both Vitality and G2 finished the stage with no losses, while Natus Vincere, which has been consistently ranked in the Top 3 of recent tournaments, struggled (yet managed to) advance to the playoffs, losing 3 times in Group A. Complexity, which ranked among the last places in the previous tournaments, beat both Astralis and ENCE in the Group C fight for a playoff slot.
Teams ranked 2-3 in groups will play against each other in the first round of the playoffs. On September 27, Fnatic will play against Team Liquid, and FaZe Clan — against Complexity. The next day FURIA will compete with Outsiders, and Heroic — with Natus Vincere. The quarterfinals will be held from September 29 to 30.

ESL Pro League Season 16 group stage matches totaled more than 24.8 million Hours Watched with 133K Average Viewers. The stage saw a Peak Viewers number of nearly 368.3K people, reached at the final game day of Group A.
The PV number was reached when three matches were played at the same time, including the game of NiP and NAVI, which was watched by 328.8K PV. Yet the most popular the match was between NAVI and Team Vitality on Day 4 of the Group A, which drew 357.9K PV.

The most popular team at the end of the group stage is Natus Vincere. Its games were watched by 229K AV, which is 36% more compared with the closest pursuer, Team Vitality. FaZe Clan, NiP and G2 Esports are also in the Top 5 by this metric.

The most popular ESL Pro League Season 15 group stage match between NAVI and Astralis drew 315.8K PV, while the most popular match of the current season saw a 13.3% increase in PV metric.
