Esports Charts celebrates 8 successful years in the market
We are absolutely thrilled to be marking our 8th anniversary as the first-choice livestreaming analytics service in the esports industry. It has been a wonderful journey, and we cannot be happier to hit this milestone as a team. We would like to extend our appreciation to everybody who has been part of this whether you are a partner, a client, or just a follower of the esports community!
We are not the same people we were eight years ago. A lot has happened over time, and the shifts are reflected in the diversity and vastness of our database. Today Esports Charts tracks events, matches, players, and many more that help fill critical gaps within the esports ecosystem. Our analytical tools have developed as well and we can return even better and more actionable information for the teams, event organizers, and brands. And as our efforts have increased in scope so has the number of people and geographical reach of our organization.
"For eight years, we’ve stayed true to the core principles that shaped Esports Charts: transparency, data-driven insights, and a genuine commitment to supporting the growth of the esports industry. While we’ve continuously evolved, our mission remains the same: to deliver reliable data that fosters a fairer, more authentic, and thriving esports ecosystem. We’re excited to keep pushing boundaries and driving innovation as we work hand-in-hand with our partners and the wider community."
Ivan Danishevskiy, founder of Esports Charts
Esports Charts’ journey began during one of the most iconic events in esports, Worlds 2016. As we celebrate our 8th anniversary this year, we find ourselves once again in the middle of the excitement surrounding the World Championship.

It all started with just three passionate enthusiasts who wanted to bring transparency to esports viewership data, without any inflated numbers or misleading stats. Back then, we were analyzing only a few hundred streams from platforms like Twitch and YouTube. Our work has expanded exponentially, as Esports Charts now analyzes close to 1 million esports-related channels annually across more than 20 platforms.
“I am very proud of our commitment to offering honest and clear reports on viewership of esports. As the years passed, considerable progress was made in improving existing and developing new efficient techniques that can assist in comprehending the underlying factors and making data-driven changes. It’s reassuring that an honest approach brought us recognition within the industry and trust from our partners and customers. We aim to raise those standards even more, perfecting our cycle to provide insights that would benefit the whole esports ecosystem.”
Artyom Odintsov, co-founder and CEO of Esports Charts
In the early days of Esports Charts, we primarily focused on the events we personally followed and loved. We started with a handful of titles that we knew well, gradually expanding as the demand for reliable viewership data grew. Today, our coverage spans not just the biggest esports titles like League of Legends, but also an impressive variety of games, including mobile titles and even niche online games like GeoGuessr. It’s been exciting to watch how far we’ve come, and we’re proud that our data can now be enjoyed by such a wide audience.
“As we mark 8 years at Esports Charts, we take great pride in the technical progress we’ve achieved. With over 40,000 code commits, 84 services in operation, switch of the technical stack on Streams Charts project half a year after the launch, we’ve built a solid foundation capable of managing vast amounts of data: tens of terabytes, millions of streamers, and more than 60,000 tournaments. Looking ahead, we're focused on further refining our systems to continue providing reliable and scalable insights. More to come!”
Ihor Kryvych, co-founder and CTO of Esports Charts
We are fortunate to work with some of the biggest and most respected names in the industry, including BLAST, Ubisoft, Moonton, G2 Esports, Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, and many more. These partnerships have helped us grow into the trusted resource we are today, and we look forward to continuing these collaborations for years to come.
When we talk about impacting the industry, we mean it. We’ve seen firsthand that the insights we provide on various events, series, and teams—often accompanied by recommendations on how to improve viewership performance—are not just read but implemented over time. This feedback reinforces the value of our work and motivates us to continue delivering high-quality data and actionable insights that drive growth in the esports ecosystem.
As we look to the future, Esports Charts is committed to expanding our database and enhancing our reporting capabilities to be even more comprehensive and insightful. We are dedicated to developing new products and features that will make analytics clearer, more robust, and ultimately even more valuable to our users. The journey doesn’t stop here; we look forward to what lies ahead and are ready to undertake further steps to develop the esports industry.
