Team Vision leads EWC TFT watch time, but Vitality draws largest average audience

Jul 27, 2026 • 2 min readTeam Vision ranked first by Hours Watched at the Esports World Cup 2026 Teamfight Tactics tournament, while Team Vitality recorded the highest Average Viewers. The two metrics produced almost entirely different top-five lists, highlighting distinct patterns in team viewership identified by Esports Charts together with Hellcase.
For Hours Watched, the numbers closely tracked tournament results. Because Team Vision won the event, they stayed on screen through the Grand Final and racked up more total watch time than anyone else. The runner-up, Aurora Gaming, took second place, and semifinalist Flash Wolves came in third.

Movistar KOI and GodLike Esports took the fourth and fifth spots, even though they missed the later rounds. They both played several long series in the group stage, giving them more chances to build up total viewing hours.

Average Viewers painted a completely different picture. Team Vitality topped this list despite a group stage exit. Movistar KOI and Virtus.pro followed them, while Fnatic and T1 finished out the top five after similarly brief appearances.
Average Viewers does not depend heavily on how long a team survives in the bracket. It gives a better sense of how many people typically tune in for a specific team's matches, though things like scheduling, opponents, and overlapping streams play a role too.

The contrast was particularly pronounced at this event. None of the eventual top three appeared among the five leading teams by Average Viewers, while several organisations eliminated early ranked near the top. Movistar KOI was the only team to feature in both top-five lists, combining a relatively substantial amount of airtime with one of the tournament’s strongest average audiences.
In the end, the rankings highlight two ways to succeed in viewership. Teams like Vision, Aurora and Flash Wolves earned their spots by making deep runs, while big-name organizations like Vitality, Fnatic and T1 pulled in large audiences despite short tournament runs. For Team Vision, that deep run also carried broader significance: the title earned the organization 1,000 Club Championship points and moved it into fourth place in the overall EWC 2026 standings.
