The second week of the Esports World Cup 2026 was far more action-packed than the first. Between July 13 and 19, EWC tournament broadcasts generated over 47.8 million Hours Watched — twice as much as during the opening week and 34.4% more than in the second week of the Esports World Cup 2025.

League of Legends emerged as the leading esports title of the second week of the Esports World Cup 2026. The tournament peaked at more than 1.48 million viewers, the highest result recorded by any EWC event so far this year. The Free Fire tournament and the women’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang event also reached historic viewership milestones. Dota 2, meanwhile, attracted a much smaller audience than last year.

The League of Legends tournament generated over 23.6 million Hours Watched, accounting for half of the series’ total for the second week. Despite favorites T1 and Gen.G Esports missing out on the grand final, the event still generated 30% more Hours Watched than last year. One key factor was that T1 and Gen.G still faced each other, albeit in the third-place match rather than the final. You can find a more detailed breakdown of the tournament’s results and viewership statistics in our report.

The Esports World Cup 2026 Free Fire tournament peaked at over 804K viewers, making it the game’s most popular event in the past four years by a wide margin. Its Hours Watched also nearly doubled compared with last year, reaching 11.3 million over four days of competition. This accounted for approximately 23.6% of the total Hours Watched generated by all tournaments during the second week.

The MLBB Women’s Invitational 2026 peaked at over 565.4K viewers, up 13.8% from last year’s tournament. It became the second-most-popular esports event in the history of women’s esports. The 32nd SEA Games Women’s Tournament remains the leader with 1.36 million Peak Viewers.

The Esports World Cup 2026 Dota 2 tournament peaked at 326.8K viewers, making it the game’s most popular event of the current season. However, this figure was down 24% compared with EWC 2025, despite the grand final featuring an all-Russian matchup. Although the Dota 2 tournament did not deliver particularly strong viewership figures, its longer format helped it generate over 15.9 million Hours Watched across the first two weeks of the event. Dota 2 currently ranks second among EWC tournaments by this metric, behind only League of Legends.

Most watched organizations of EWC 2026

After two weeks of competition, T1 emerged as the most-watched esports organization at the Esports World Cup 2026, with its teams generating over 10 million Hours Watched in total. Nearly all of that figure came from its League of Legends roster, which finished fourth in the tournament.
