Gamers8 festival to host esports events with total prize pool of $15 million
From mid-July to the end of August, Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, will host a major Gamers8 gaming festival, which will include several major esports events. Their total prize pool of tournaments will be $15 million, and among the disciplines are Rocket League, Dota 2, Fortnite, Rainbow Six and PUBG Mobile.
The first of the competitions starts tomorrow, July 14: many top teams from all over the world will perform at the Gamers8 Rocket League Tournament, including FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Renegades, FURIA Esports, Luminosity Gaming and others. The prize pool of the RL event will be $2 million.
The Dota 2 tournament is called Riyadh Masters 2022. It will be held from July 20 to 24, and the teams will fight for the share of total $4 million, this is the largest prize pool in the history of the discipline besides The International series. Participants include OG, Team Secret, Team Spirit, PSG.LGD and others.
The culmination of the festival will be the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022, the largest off-season event in the discipline, with a total prize pool of $3 million. Read more about the championship here.
Gamers8 esports tournaments schedule:
- Gamers8 Rocket League Tournament — July 14-17;
- Riyadh Masters 2022 (Dota 2) — July 20-24;
- Fortnite tournament — July 28-31;
- Rainbow Six tournament — August 4-7;
- PUBG Mobile World Invitational — August 11-13 / 18-20.
All competitions will be held in the Boulevard Riyadh City entertainment area, located in the Hittin district of Riyadh. In addition to esports, the event will also host concerts and many different shows and presentations. The organizers are the Saudi Arabian Esports Federation (SEF) and Gamers8 company, known for the Gamers Without Borders charity festival.
