PGL Arlington Major 2022, the second and final major of the Dota Pro Circuit 2021/2022 season, will be held on August 4-14 in the USA. 17 teams from six regions will participate in the tournament and compete for $500K prize money and 4.570 DPC ranking points. The teams will play group stage matches at a hotel near the venue, while the playoff stage will take place at the Esports Stadium Arlington scene.
LIVE statistics for the tournament will be available on this page
Note that initially 18 teams were to play in the tournament, but Chinese Xtreme Gaming refused to participate because one of its players was denied a visa to the USA. The management of the tournament operator PGL decided not to seek an emergency replacement and simply canceled the team's slot. Meanwhile, other teams who did decide to make replacements faced visa problems as well. Fnatic, OG, Entity Gaming, Royal Never Give Up, Talon Esports, Thunder Awaken and beastcoast will play with incomplete lineups.
Tournament schedule:
-
August 4-8 — group stage (round-robin, best-of-2);
-
August 9-14 — playoffs (double-elimination, best-of-3, best-of-5 grand final).
