Four gaming weeks of LCS Spring 2024 are behind us; franchise league participants have played nine matches each and are now on a short break until March 2nd. Esports Charts analyzed the viewership statistics of the league and evaluated the impact of the arrival of popular community casters.
FlyQuest is leading the group after the first four weeks of LCS Spring 2024. This team completely revamped its roster in November, opting for players from Europe, the USA, and Canada over Koreans. Currently, FlyQuest confidently leads the pack with 7 wins in 9 matches. Last year's summer split leaders, Cloud9 and NRG, find themselves in the middle of the standings. The weakest performance so far comes from Immortals and Shopify Rebellion.
The average number of viewers for LCS Spring 2024 broadcasts has slightly increased compared to last spring. However, fewer fans are watching the league's official channels, while additional coverage from community casters Caedrel and Baiano has brought in extra viewership.
During the first four weeks of LCS Spring 2024, the peak viewership on broadcasts reached 192.8K viewers — this audience was drawn to the match between Cloud9 and Shopify Rebellion. Worth noting that in the first four weeks of LCS Spring 2023, the peak viewership was 178.8K — the match between Cloud9 and 100 Thieves was the most popular during the entire group stage. The least popular match during that period was between TSM and GSS, attracting 87.1K viewers, which is still considerably more than the least popular matchup of the current split, Team Dignitas and 100 Thieves was watched by only 53.5K Peak Viewers.

After the first four weeks of LCS Spring 2024, the most watched teams are Cloud9 and NRG Esports, both accumulating 1.18M Hours Watched each. These teams have slightly improved their performance from last season and are now the main "engines" driving the league's viewership statistics. Compared to Spring 2023, watch time has also increased for FlyQuest and Immortals.
100 Thieves and Team Liquid, which led in watch hours last spring (after 4 weeks), show a downward trend. Team Dignitas ranks last in total viewing hours among all participants, with 876.6K HW. Last spring, this team also occupied lower positions in the standings.

The decline in viewership on the official LCS channels on Twitch and YouTube has been offset by community casters f and Caedrel: their channels are now in the top 3 among league channels. After the fourth week, the average viewership of the tournament reached 118.7K, whereas last spring, by the second week of the group stage, this value had dropped to 98K viewers and remained at that level until the start of the playoffs.
The average number of viewers on broadcasts is the most objective indicator of the league's dynamics. Currently, it remains at approximately the same level as last year, but the situation may change by the end of the season. As for the total viewing hours, LCS Spring 2024 will decline in this parameter, as the number of participants and matches has decreased.
