June 2025 was a busy month for mobile gaming fans, with series such as the PUBG Mobile Super League, Free Fire World Series, Arena of Valor Premier League, CHOKBR, and Clash of Clans World Championship running through the month. Many of these events acted as qualifiers for more prominent tournaments, be they mid-season global championships or the upcoming Esports World Cup 2025.
There was also the MLBB Professional League, which remained the focus of attention for most of the industry due to the sheer viewership numbers some of its circuits managed to hit. The MPL more than matched the lofty expectations of its legions of fans, reaching new viewership heights through its most crucial regions in Indonesia and the Philippines.
These prominent leagues of the mobile MOBA attracted thousands of viewers, helping MLBB continue to dominate the mobile gaming industry. The interest generated by these Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitions was also reflected in Esports Charts' rankings of the top teams for June 2025 as well.
Most watched mobile esports teams by Hours Watched — June 2025

RRQ Hoshi was not only the most-watched team in the mobile esports segment last month, but the topper among all esports sides after finishing as the only side to cross 20 million Hours Watched (HW). All of these numbers came from the MPL Indonesia Season 15, which is now among the top ten most-watched esports events of all time.
Second is the team that beat RRQ Hoshi to the title of MPL Indonesia Season 15 champion, ONIC Esports. It had similar airtime and played the same number of matches as RRQ in June, but just missed out on touching the 20 million HW mark. Throughout the four knockout series, the side trailed just once, giving up a 2:0 lead to RRQ Hoshi in the Grand Final before recovering to seal its victory.
Next is Alter Ego, who finished among the top four at the MPL Indonesia Season 15 after reaching the Lower Bracket Semifinal. This was its best domestic result since a third-place finish in Season 11, showing that the side can trouble the best sides in the league when it plays to its potential. June 2025 was also one of Alter Ego's most successful by watch time, ending as only the fifth month that it accumulated over eight million HW, as interest in its Playoffs games soared.
Geek Fam ID, who finished third at the latest Indonesian MPL split, takes the fourth spot with 7.6 million HW. The side remains one of the quirks of this league, consistently reaching the last three or four teams but unable to break through against much stronger and more historical opposition like RRQ, EVOS, and ONIC. Nevertheless, this good run also meant that June 2025 was Geek Fam ID's most consistently watched month in terms of average viewership.
Rounding off this top five is the only non-Indonesian MLBB team here, Team Liquid PH. The side clinched its second MPL Philippines title in three splits during the recent Season 15 by beating ONIC.PH. The side played only one game here, with the others coming during an SEA Games 2025 qualifier event; nevertheless, June 2025 was its top month by AV.
Most popular mobile esports teams by Average Viewers — June 2025

The list of the most popular teams by Average Viewers (AV) last month has four names from the watch time table above, headed by RRQ Hoshi again. MLBB esports' most popular side averaged over 1.5 million online viewers across four games in June at the recent Season 15 of the MPL Indonesia, whose playoff matches reached viewership far higher than many other esports events.
Next is ONIC Esports, the only other mobile esports side and just the third team overall to average over a million viewers in June 2025. The Grand Final against RRQ Hoshi in the MPL Indonesia Season 15 became the second match in the series to cross the four million PV mark, with the first coming at the previous split. It was also ONIC's most popular MPL match of all time, with only a couple of World Championship series doing better.
Alter Ego takes the third spot here, attracting 879,054 AV across three games last month. All these clashes had consequences as they were part of the event's Playoffs, which is one big reason for its high placing here. After all, these knockout series came against some of the region's most renowned names, including the clash versus RRQ Hoshi, which ended as Alter Ego's most popular game by peak live viewers.
Next is Geek Fam ID with 869,209 AV last month, which came across three games. Like Alter Ego, a big reason for these high numbers was the calibre of opponents it faced in the Playoffs, including meetings with ONIC and RRQ Hoshi. The latter, a do-or-die Lower Bracket Final between the two sides, peaked at just over 2 million viewers, meaning both of Geek Fam ID's most popular matches by PV have come against RRQ in MPL clashes.
Last but not least is the second representative in this article from the MPL Philippines Season 15, ONIC.PH. The heavyweight side played just one game in June, the summit clash against Team Liquid PH, which attracted 826,312 AV. June 2025 also turned out to be ONIC.PH's best month by average live viewers, almost doubling the count of the next-best month.
Like the previous month, MLBB continued to be the top name in mobile esports in June 2025. Its top two regional leagues broke multiple records to lay the marker to other games for the rest of the season, although it looks improbable that any other non-world championship tournament across the rest of the year can match the peak attained by the Indonesia circuit.
