Pre-finals viewership for the MSI 2025 — Korean peak grows by almost 30% compared to 2024
Coming up this weekend, the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 will reach its ultimate conclusion. The Lower Bracket Final (LBF) between T1 and Anyone’s Legend begins on July 12, and the following day, the winner will face off against Gen.G Esports in the Grand Final; will T1 get another chance at Gen.G or could Anyone’s Legend take their first international title? Before we turn our focus fully on the final matches, Esports Charts takes a brief look back at the viewership results of the ongoing tournament.
With just the LBF and grand final leftover, the MSI 2025 has already accumulated 56.78M Hours Watched, with roughly three-quarters of this coming from the Bracket Stage of the tournament. Compared to 2024, English-language viewership grew significantly at the MSI this year, now leading the languages demographics in watch time by a significant margin.

Korean-speaking audiences emerged triumphant towards the end of the MSI this year, despite a slow start. Korean viewers recorded significantly lower watch time in 2025 — there was no Korean representation in the Play-In Stage of the tournament this year — but still managed to become the most popular language by Peak Viewers (PV) so far. If T1 and Gen.G are to meet again in the grand finals, the game could likely breach that 2.83M PV mark and set a new series record for the MSI.
Co-casting naturally remained crucial for the overall watch time of the MSI 2025 so far. The unofficial style of broadcasting has grown massively popular across the years, and LoL esports has learnt to embrace this new wave of esports coverage. So far, internationally famed co-streamers like Marc Robert “Caedrel” Lamont, Ibai Llanos, and Gustavo “Baiano” Gomes top the rankings, but many Korean co-streamers have reached strong results so far, and they could reach significantly higher for the upcoming grand final coverage.

As it stands, the MSI 2025 could set a new series record, once again proving LoL esports is constantly pushing the boundaries of world-stage events. If fan-favorite T1 advances to the finals, we can likely expect a massive showing of fans for this exciting Korean esports derby. If Anyone’s Legend advance to the finals and face Gen.G, it is less likely the event will set a new record.
Esports Charts will report on the complete viewership statistics of the MSI as it wraps up. Keep an eye out on our socials and blogs this weekend for the latest MSI 2025 viewership coverage.
