Singapore and Cambodia set new viewership records in MPL

The MPL Singapore Season 4 and MPL Cambodia Autumn 2022 regional leagues in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang ended in October. They determined the teams that will represent their countries in M4 World Championship. RSG Singapore won the tournament, winning all seven group stage matches, then eliminated SMG SG in the playoffs and defeated Slate Esports twice: in the winners bracket final and then in the Grand Final.

RSG Singapore's victory was not a surprise to fans, as it is one of the strongest teams in Singapore. It was the champion in Season 3 and reached the finals in both Season 2 and Season 1. RSG Singapore secured the right to compete in M4 World Championship after its success in MPL Singapore Season 4. It should be recalled that the last World Championship was not very successful for the Singapore team as it took 9th-12th place.

The PV number was reached at the Grand Final between RSG Singapore and Slate Esports. The same teams became the most popular by HW and AV, surpassing the other participants considerably.

As for languages, 99% of the total HW number was amassed by English-language broadcasts. The most popular platform is YouTube (72%), with Facebook Gaming in second place (11.9%). Most of the audience followed the event on the official Mobile Legends channels.

MPL Cambodia Autumn 2022 started back in August and ended on October 2. Burn x Team Flash won the title, and their victory is their best result in the regional series. In the previous two seasons, the team ranked fourth twice. Now it will debut in M4 World Championship. It should be noted that in the previous World Championships, representatives of Cambodia played poorly, winning only one series against opponents from other regions.

An AV number on the broadcasts was 18.8K people, and a PV number reached 110K people — it happened at the Grand Final between Logic Esports and Burn x Team Flash. It is interesting that it was the only match in which the concurrent viewership exceeded 100K people.

The most watched team of the season is Logic Esports, with 675K HW, while Burn x Team Flash and Impunity KH take 2nd-3rd place by this metric. As for the AV number at matches, all semifinalists showed roughly the same results between 25-27K AV.

The vast majority of viewers followed the broadcast in Khmer (99% of the tournament's HW total). A small portion of fans also chose to watch the broadcasts in Tagalog and English. Facebook topped the list of platforms, accounting for about 88% of HW. YouTube accounted for another 11%.

The language was just a little short of the new record for PV — 107.2K PV against 107.7K at the M3 World Championship streams.
