Was xQc cast down from his spot as the most popular streamer? Who has managed to get into Twitch's top? We will be answering these and other questions, as well as providing more information about the platform's streamers in our summary for September 2020.

XQcOW's domination of Twitch continues for the third month already. Ever since July 2020 this streamer has been holding the first spot in the platform's ranking – being not stopped even by the official ESL Gaming channel (the stream of which got a total of 717 hours of airtime). Felix became rather popular due to the amount of hype suddenly hitting the Among Us game – which we've already mentioned in our blog.

It is rather interesting to see the personal channel of the former cyberathlete gaining one and a half times more hours watched as compared to the official channel of ESL, a major organizer of esports competitions.

Top 10 was once again graced by the presence of loltyler1 channel. This was because of the streamer's new challenge – which required him to learn a new role all while achieving a high League of Legends rank. Tyler's top lane adventures have proven to be highly popular among the fans of his channel.

The former Spanish commentator for League of Legends and now a streamer for G2 Esports, ibai, became another newcomer to the ranking. He managed to become Twitch's third most popular streamer in September with a result of 9.2 million hours watched. Such a popularity was caused by Among Us as well – a central title to nearly every stream of his.

We can see gaules being one step short from the desirable top spot. The Brazilian commentator and streamer was staying at the most popular spot for several months before the domination of xQc. We've told his story in a recent article.

SilverName became the most popular Russian-speaking Twitch streamer. As opposed to the platform's many other streamers, Vladislav prefers to focus only on Hearthstone rather than to depend on currently-hyped topics. Given the game's high popularity across the CIS, SilverName is watched by a large number of viewers. A recently released update for one of HS modes was of a great help to him as well.

Stray228 is once again among the firsts. His Dota 2 channel used to have some minor issues with hours watched and overall popularity ever since spring – but it is clear that the situation has changed in the autumn. A coincidence or not, this was also the time for relaxation of quarantine measures in some of the CIS countries.

Returning to the top 10 was HoneyMad, popular among the Russian viewers. After having a short adventure on another streaming platform, Ilya Maddyson returned to Twitch. This generated enough hype for the streamer to gain more hours watched and so return to the ranks of the best.

The esports component seems to dominate the Russian-speaking audience (as opposed to the Western one). To be more precise, the official competition broadcasts became the three most popular channels in September.
