East Asia has grown into a significant audience — Valorant Champions 2024 insights so far

The season-end Valorant Champions 2024 event has been steadily progressing through its group stage, with each of the four groups having finished their two opening matches. The event has seen the best teams from the four major regions of Valorant esports take the stage, giving the tournament a chance to connect with passionate fans from all across the globe. 

So far, this year’s event has seen a slight downturn in viewership compared to last year’s Champions tournament. The results have been disappointing for Riot Games’ title, which set a new viewership record earlier this year during the Masters event hosted in Madrid. As we covered in our recap of the event’s opening day, a key factor in the viewership downturn was the lack of representation for Brazilian fans.
