EMEA Masters 2026 Spring viewership drops 65%, falling below 2018 levels
Peak viewership for the EMEA Masters 2026 Spring dropped 65.4% from the Winter split, while the tournament also suffered steep declines across other key metrics. The absence of a major crowd-pulling team clearly took its toll.
EMEA Masters 2026 Spring viewership statistics

The EMEA Masters 2026 Spring Grand Final between Solary and Galions drew 37,301 Peak Viewers. The tournament itself peaked at 47,890 viewers, down 65.4% from the Winter split’s 138,539 PV, recorded during a Group Stage match between Witchcraft and G2 NORD.
Witchcraft carried unusual audience appeal. The team marked the first competitive appearance of the former Los Ratones core following the project’s disbandment by founder Marc “Caedrel” Lamont, while players such as Martin “Rekkles” Larsson gave the roster substantial pull among viewers.
Witchcraft appeared in four of the five most-watched matches at the EMEA Masters 2026 Winter. Despite exiting in the Group Stage, the team also ranked first by Average Viewers and Hours Watched, underlining how heavily the tournament’s audience depended on its presence.

As a result, the Grand Final ranked only sixth among the tournament’s most-watched matches by peak concurrent viewership. Most of the leading matches instead came during Witchcraft’s Group Stage run in the Winter split.
Witchcraft’s absence also weakened the EMEA Masters 2026 Spring co-streaming ecosystem. The number of unique channels covering the League of Legends tournament fell from 115 in Winter to 69 in Spring, a decline of 40%.
The most significant loss was Caedrel himself. His broadcasts of his former team’s matches made him the most-watched channel at the EMEA Masters 2026 Winter and the second-largest by Hours Watched. No Spring co-streamer came close to matching the audience he had generated.
EMEA Masters is one of Europe’s most complex esports events, spanning multiple regional leagues and nearly 20 broadcast languages. Access the Esports Charts Event Dashboard to analyze its audience by match, stage, language, and platform, and compare its performance with other tournaments across the industry.
Caedrel’s absence hit the English-language audience particularly hard. Compared with the Winter split, English watch time fell by 97.6%, while Peak Viewers dropped by 88.8%.
EMEA Masters 2026 Spring results
Galions defeated Solary in a rematch of the Winter final, reversing the previous result with a 3:0 sweep to claim the organization’s first A-tier title. Eintracht Spandau and UCAM Esports Club shared third-fourth place, while Galions jungler Francisco “Thayger” Mazo was named Finals MVP.

The EMEA Masters continues to lose ground, with its audience falling to levels last seen before the pandemic, when the competition was still establishing itself on the European League of Legends calendar. In a tier-2 ecosystem where recognizable players and teams often drive interest, the lack of star power and early exits by prominent organizations could remain a major obstacle to recovery.
Attention now shifts to the international season, where the world’s leading teams will compete for regional pride and major titles. Follow upcoming tournaments, schedules, results, and viewership statistics on the Esports Charts tournaments page.
