Format, prize money, and schedule of the PMGC 2023
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2023 consists of two stages: League (November 2 to 26) and Grand Finals (December 8 to 10). The former is divided into three rounds, each leading up to the next until the 14 best sides progress to the latter, where they will be joined by two directly invited teams — S2G Esports (best representative of the host country by virtue of being title holders) and Titan Esports Club (Peacekeeper Elite League points topper).
The Group Stage round of the league phase will run from November 2 to 19, followed by the Survival Stage from November 22 to 24. Finally, the Last Chance round will be held on November 25 and 26, with the 12-day break to the Grand Finals helping teams book their travel and make related plans.

The League Stage prize pool is $1.5M, to be split among the 48 teams, while the Grand Finals prize pool is $1.4M which will be handed out to the 16 sides.

What happened at the PMGC 2022?
The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022 was held in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta, Indonesia, for almost two months. It had a similar format that saw S2G Esports ultimately outlast the other 49 sides to finish atop the Grand Finals table and be crowned the best PUBG Mobile team for 2022.

The 2022 event did 25% and 32% better than the 2021 edition in terms of watch time and peak concurrent viewers. A large part of the credit for this goes to the increased viewership during the Grand Finals, where bonuses for viewers added to the hype and had more fans tuning in for each round and match.
Finally, it ended as both the second-most watched and popular event in the series, behind only the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Season 0 on both counts. When looking at the overall number of competitions in the discipline, it ranked fourth for watch time and sixth for popularity, so it remains to be seen how this year's edition stacks up in terms of stats.
