The Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Bowl was held from January 30 to February 10 at the House of Blues in the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas. It ended as the most popular tournament ever in the discipline and the first to cross the 100K Peak Viewers mark.
It has to be noted that Madden Bowl is an Electronic Arts (EA) franchise that has consistently been among the game's most successful events. In fact, four of the five most-watched and three of the five most popular events in the discipline have come from here, showing just how sought-after it is among fans of American football globally.
The $1,000,000 prize pool competition was a culmination of months of in-person events between the best players in the world. It started with the MCS24 Ultimate Kickoff and ended with the Madden Bowl Finals that saw six-time MCS champion Henry take on Wesley, a single-time Madden Championship Series champion, for $250,000, the first MCS ring, and the title of best Madden NFL 24 player in the world.
The Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Bowl registered 700.9K Hours Watched, 101K Peak Viewers, and 45.7 Average Viewers over an airtime of 15 hours. These were pretty significant increases of 39.8%, 131%, and 58.06% from the previous iteration, the Madden 23 Ultimate Madden Bowl.

Readers must note that last year's event was one of the lesser-performing ones in the series despite having the same prize pools overall and for the Madden Bowl finals. However, the change in format and the number of in-person tournaments (four to six) played a part, with the current year seeing more matches and, thus, more opportunities for viewers to catch their favorite pro gamers live.
Another factor that helped the 2024 Ultimate Bowl reach such high numbers was the availability of drops on the multiple streaming services it was available on. Madden NFL fans could catch the live action on Twitch, YouTube, and Kick, with prizes available on the first two platforms. Rewards included drop packs, token packs, and drop reward players for those who caught the matches at different intervals.
Lastly, apart from its proximity to the real-life Super Bowl LVIII, fan investment in the finals was at an all-time high because eventual winner Henry had a discipline record in sight. Having sat just shy of the seven-figure career earnings mark heading into this showpiece match, the Chicago native's win made him the first-ever Madden millionaire.
The 20-year-old's MCS earnings are now an astonishing $1,170,975, with Wesley, a 25-year-old from Austin, coming in second here as well with $720,675 in lifetime income. While these figures may not look much compared to other, more prominent disciplines, in isolation, they are pretty life-affirming.

When looking at all the tournaments held in this video game, the Madden NFL 24 Ultimate Bowl emerged as perhaps the most successful. It is now the most popular of them all, having made history as the first one in Madden NFL to cross the hundred thousand peak concurrent viewers milestone, sneaking past the previous record holder, the Madden NFL 19 Bowl.
It is also the third-most watched competition in discipline history, with the leader in this table being the MCS Ultimate Madden Bowl 22. Interestingly, all three places on the podium here are taken by events in the Madden Bowl series, with 2019's iteration in second.

Having returned bigger than ever in the 2024 version of the MCS thanks to sponsorship deals with Lexus, more gaming platforms (including cross-platform play), and admitting players from two continents, it has undoubtedly been a successful season. Moreover, with a docuseries in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports in the works, things certainly look on the up for one of the most popular sports video games in the world.
