Valorant Champions 2022 will be held in Turkey from August 31 to September 18. The Volkswagen Arena in Istanbul will host the participants. The Esports Charts team will tell you why this tournament is important, in which format it will be held, and where you can watch its matches.
Valorant Champions 2022 is the premier tournament of the year, featuring the world's sixteen best teams from Europe, North America, Japan, Brazil, and more. Some of the participants received invitations to the tournament due to their high position in the regional ranking, while other teams made it through the Last Chance qualifier.

The prize fund of last year's tournament amounted to $1M. This year, the organizers of Valorant Champions 2022 have not yet announced the final amount, but it is known that teams will again receive 50% of the proceeds from the sale of Champions 2022 Skin Collection tournament skins.
Tournament format
For the first stage of the tournament, all teams were divided into four groups. There they will compete with each other in the double-elimination format (playing all matches up to two victories). The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The rest of the participants will leave the tournament.

The playoffs will be held in the double-elimination format. The main matches will be played up to two wins (bo3), while the lower bracket final and the grand final will be played up to three wins (bo5).

It should be reminded that the European team Acend became the champion of Valorant Champions 2021 last year, by defeating the Russian team Gambit Esports in the final. The tournament was held in December in Berlin at the Marlene-Dietrich-Halle and Verti Music Hall.
