The Call of Duty Mobile World Championship ended last weekend in Raleigh (USA). Participants of this event became the top 16 teams from seven regions, who fought for the biggest prize pool for this discipline — $1.7 million. In our new article Esports Charts tells how many viewers Call of Duty Mobile World Championship 2022 has attracted, and whether it has managed to become the most popular event in the series.

Tribe Gaming became the first Call of Duty Mobile world champion and won $700K

Call of Duty Mobile was released on October 1, 2019, and the first attempt to hold a world championship was in December 2020. At that time, the tournament was canceled due to the pandemic, and its prize pool of $750K was split equally between the strongest teams of regional qualifiers. World Championship 2021 also failed to gather all the teams in one place due to COVID-19 and was divided into two tournaments — East Finals and West Finals, during each event the teams could win $1million.

After all, a full-fledged Call of Duty Mobile World Championship took place in 2022. In the decisive match of the tournament two North-American teams Tribe Gaming and Luminosity (ex-unDream) met. Notably, both teams finished the group stage losing only one map out of seven. In the final, Tribe Gaming won in a tie series with a score of 4:3 and became the first Call of Duty Mobile world champion in history.
