ESL Pro League Season 16 — Group B results & viewership
The first half of the ESL Pro League Season 16 group stage is over, and Esports Charts continues to sum up the interim results of the tournament. Previously we covered the most popular matches, teams and other results of Group A, and in a new article we will consider the viewership statistics of Group B, matches of which attracted a little less attention from esports fans.
Group B Results
G2 Esports became the top team in Group B, which advanced directly to the quarterfinals of the tournament. It should be noted that the team finished the group stage with a victory in each of the five bo3 series without losing a single map.
The Top 3 in the group also includes FaZe Clan and Outsiders, which won four and three matches, respectively. These teams also made the playoffs, but for an earlier stage, Round of 12. On the contrary, BIG, MIBR and FTW Esports shown the poorest statistics in Group B as they only won two, one and zero matches, respectively.
Group B Viewership Statistics
Group B matches broadcasts totaled almost 6.4 million Hours Watched and 142.2K Average Viewers. The most popular match of the group is the game between G2 Esports and FaZe Clan, which was followed by 302.7K Peak Viewers. At the same time, the Peak Viewers number of Group B was 313.5K, which was reached on the final day, when there were three matches running concurrently.

FaZe Clan became the most popular team of the group, its matches were watched by 165K Average Viewers. However, the European team took third place in the overall Top of the group stage teams by this metric, behind NAVI and Vitality. It should be noted that these two teams drew 64K and 3K more viewers respectively: both of them played in Group A.
English is the most popular language of broadcasts, accounting for nearly 53% of the group's total Hours Watched. Portuguese is in second place, accounting for 19% of Group B Hours Watched. Russian-language broadcasts come next, with 14% of total HW. At the same time, Russian-language broadcasts lagged behind Portuguese-language broadcasts in terms of Average Viewers number by more than 7K viewers.
Compared with the results of Group A, the viewership activity of Group B was a bit more modest. The stage attracted 15% fewer Peak Viewers and 11% fewer Average Viewers, and totalled 16% less Hours Watched.
