The IESF World Championship 2023 will take place in the Romanian city of Iasi from August 24 to September 4. This will be the 15th anniversary event organized by the International Esports Federation, featuring several international tournaments. In 2023, teams from all over the world will compete in CS:GO, Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournaments, and other disciplines. The total prize pool will amount to approximately $500K.

Detailed statistics on all major esports tournaments are available with the Esports Charts PRO subscription, the benefits of which can be checked here.

The uniqueness of the IESF World Championship lies in the fact that national teams participate in these tournaments — meaning all team members must be representatives of the same country. Because of this rule, many top international organizations do not participate in IESF tournaments, which opens up opportunities for young or mixed teams.

The upcoming event deserves special attention for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament. Essentially, the IESF World Championship 2023 will be the first international tournament for this discipline to take place outside of Southeast Asia (the home region for MLBB). One of the favorites for this tournament is the Indonesian national team, represented by five players from Bigetron Alpha. It is a strong team, considered a solid mid-tier team in the MPL Indonesia league. Its main competitor will be the Philippine national team, represented by a five-player lineup from AP.Bren (also participants in the local MPL league).

In the Dota 2 tournament, it's worth noting the teams from Romania, the United States, the Philippines, Bulgaria, and Kyrgyzstan. In CS:GO, the favored teams are from Germany, Denmark, and Sweden — many players from the youth squads of top clubs are represented in these countries.
