Mobile Legends tournaments have once again topped the rankings as the most popular esports events of the month in terms of Peak Viewers. The match between RRQ and EVOS Legends during the Group Stage of MPL Indonesia Season 12 gathered the highest number of viewers in September. The ranking also included the LEC 2023 finals and the Apex Legends World Championship.

The MPL Indonesia Season 12 regional league (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang) has become the most popular esports event of the month. In September, two popular teams from the region, Rex Regum Qeon and EVOS Legends, played their second match in the group stage and gathered 1.6 million Peak Viewers. As a reminder, the previous matchup between these teams in the same season gathered over 2.1 million Peak Viewers, with RRQ winning both series. The Playoffs will take place from October 11 to October 15, and even before its start, the league has already surpassed all mobile title tournaments in terms of Hours Watched.

In second place among the most popular tournaments of the month is the ML:BB IESF World Championship 2023. This event is notable for being the first international championship for the discipline that took place outside of Southeast Asia, which is ML:BB's home region. In the Grand Final, which took place in the Romanian city of Iasi, the Philippine team defeated the Indonesian team with a score of 3:1. This match was watched by 700.7K Peak Viewers. The Top 3 most popular esports events was rounded out by the LEC Finals 2023, which determined the four participants of the 2023 World Championship (League of Legends). In the final, G2 Esports met Fnatic, both are one of the most successful teams in the league and longstanding rivals. The match ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of G2 Esports, and it was watched by 654.9K PV

The ALGS: 2023 Apex Legends World Championship ranked fourth with 596K PV. This result was reached during the eighth round of the final stage. In this round, Team SoloMid secured the match point and became the champion, earning $600,000. The most valuable player of the tournament was TSM_ImperialHal, who is also one of the most popular streamers among esports athletes.

The Grand Final of DreamLeague Season 21 (Dota 2) attracted 388.5K PV, allowing the tournament to enter the Top 5 events of the month. Team Spirit and Shopify Rebellion faced off in the match for the title, with TS emerging victorious with a score of 3:0.

The most popular tournament of the month on English-language broadcasts was the ALGS: 2023 Championship for Apex Legends. The broadcasts attracted 370.5K PV, which is approximately 62% of the total Peak audience across all languages.

Second place in the ranking goes to the LEC Finals 2023. English-language broadcasts of the Grand Final between G2 Esports and Fnatic gathered 319.3K PV. This is less than half of the overall Peak audience for the series. It is worth noting that Spanish was the second most popular language during the tournament.

The World Series of Warzone 2023 Global Finals took third place with 264.5K PV. The event set a record for Peak viewership among all Warzone esports tournaments, with a total of 382.4K PV. You can read about the evolution of the series on its way to a new record here.

The English broadcast of the ESL Pro League Season 18 (CS:GO) gathered 148.7K PV. Notably, this occurred during the Ukrainian derby between Natus Vincere and Monte, where the team led by Alexander s1mple Kostylev emerged victorious.

DreamLeague Season 21 took fifth place in the Top of the most popular events of the month among English-speaking audiences. The Peak Viewers number on the English broadcast during the Grand Final between Team Spirit and Shopify Rebellion reached 148.5K. Only the Russian-language broadcasts had more viewers.

In September, the most popular esports channel on Twitch was the official LEC channel. It gathered around 204K PV during the final match of the LEC Finals 2023. In comparison, the LEC channel on YouTube gathered half as many Peak Viewers during the same game. 

Second place goes to Gaules, the channel of Brazilian Counter-Strike streamer and esports caster. In September, it reached 166.5K PV; this occurred during the match between Astralis and FURIA Esports in the Group Stage of ESL Pro League Season 18. The Danish team emerged victorious with a score of 2:0 in that series.

The official English-language Apex Legends channel reached around 145K PV. This happened on September 10 during the broadcast of the eighth round of the ALGS: 2023 Championship. It is worth noting that the tournament had active community casting, and the matches were covered on over 400 unique channels. 

Fourth place in the ranking goes to CBLOL, where the official broadcasts of the Brazilian regional league were taking place. The match between LOUD and paiN Gaming gathered 139.2K PV. It is worth noting that in the summer season, the Brazilian league surpassed the North American league in terms of audience coverage.

The channel of popular French streamer Kamet0 took fifth place in the monthly ranking. During the broadcast of the KCX3 show event, he gathered over 137.7K PV.
