Top esports events of November 2024

The end of the year is when everything gets wrapped up, and it's also when the season finals for many esports games take place. November gave us a series of major events, with the highlight being the Grand Final of the 2024 World Championship, which set a new record for the largest audience in the history of the entire esports industry.

But November wasn’t just about Worlds 2024. There were plenty of other notable moments, too: a historic milestone in Brawl Stars, the best season for MPL Malaysia, a strong start for the M6 World Championship, a streamer show tournament for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and much more.

Top Esports Events of November 2024

The most popular esports event of November was the 2024 World Championship — the season finale of League of Legends, which once again set industry records, drawing over 6.94 million viewers simultaneously. The peak came during the final match between T1 and Bilibili Gaming, which went all five games and earned T1 another championship title. A significant distance behind the leader was the M6 World Championship, the season finale for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. It's worth noting that the main stage of the M6 World Championship began only at the end of November, with all the major matches still ahead. However, the M6 World Championship has already surpassed last year’s event in audience reach and peaked at 2.12 million viewers during the match between RRQ Hoshi and Twisted Minds. We’ve previously mentioned that M6 has a solid shot at breaking the game’s record and becoming the most popular title in mobile esports.

In third place was the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024, which became one of the biggest surprises this fall. Fans were already expecting great viewership from Worlds 2024 and M6, but the huge success of the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 caught many off guard. The event not only reached over a million viewers at its peak during the semifinals between SK Gaming and HMBLE, but it also became the most popular tournament in the history of Brawl Stars, smashing the previous record by 2.5 times!

The MPL Malaysia Season 14, which wrapped up in November, became the most popular MPL season in the Malaysia. A record peak of 870,000 viewers was set during the final match between Selangor Red Giants and Team Vamos. This also marked the largest audience ever for Team Vamos matches. Both teams are currently competing in the M6 World Championship, battling for a spot in the Knockout Stage.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2024 peaked at nearly 854,000 viewers, making it the most popular PUBG Mobile tournament of 2024 so far. The event is still ongoing, so it could see its viewership numbers rise as it wraps up. It could surpass last year’s PMGC 2023 (which peaked at 980,100 viewers) and become the second most-watched tournament in the game's history. Top Esports Events of November 2024The 2024 World Championship was by far the most popular tournament in November among English-speaking viewers. The final between T1 and Bilibili Gaming peaked at over 1.87M PV on English-language broadcasts, with a huge contribution from British streamer Caedrel, who was the most popular English-language community caster of the event. Thanks to 2024 World Championship coverage, Caedrel even set a new peak viewership record on his Twitch channel back in October.

English-language broadcasts of the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 peaked at over 477.9K viewers, accounting for nearly half of the tournament’s total viewership. Almost all English-speaking fans tuned in to the official streams, and the brawlstars channel on Twitch even set a new channel viewership record.

BLAST Premier: World Final 2024 made the list thanks to strong engagement during the English-language streams of the final between G2 Esports and Team Spirit. The most popular channels during the matches were the official BLAST Premier channels on Twitch and YouTube. Among English-language community casters, North American streamer fl0m attracted the largest audience during the final.

The FC Pro 25 Open football tournament attracted nearly 256K viewers at its peak, coming just shy of breaking into the top 3. The majority of its audience was made up of viewers watching the English-language EA Sports FC streams on Twitch and YouTube. Right now, it's the fourth most popular FIFA tournament, but it still has room to climb the ranks.

In fifth place was Kaysan's Showdown 4, a show tournament for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, featuring teams of top English-speaking streamers. Participants included TrainwrecksKai CenatxQcJynxzi, and other popular content creators. Many of them streamed on their personal channels, helping the tournament reach a peak viewership of nearly 230K viewers.

Top Esports Events of November 2024 on TwitchThe most popular esports channel in November was the riotgames channel, which hosted the official streams of the 2024 World Championship. During the Grand Final, the channel peaked at over 612K viewers — its best performance of the year, though still far from its all-time record. That record was set in 2022 during the World Championship final between T1 and DRX, which peaked at more than 990.2K viewers.

Other popular esports channels that made the list included Ibai’s channel and Caedrel’s, two of the most-watched community casters of the 2024 World Championship. Ibai peaked at over 406.8K viewers during the final, but this broadcast didn’t even make it into the top 15 most popular streams on his channel. In fact, it wasn’t even his most-watched League of Legends stream. Meanwhile, Caedrel attracted 363.7K viewers on his channel in November — slightly fewer than he pulled in during October for the same tournament.

The list also included two channels covering the Brawl Stars World Finals 2024 — the official brawlstars English-language channel and the channel of Spanish community caster SpiukBS. SpiukBS hit a peak of 292.3K viewers, setting a personal record on Twitch.
